Team Leaders – Bethlehem Youth Academy

Job Summary

Bethlehem Youth Academy is looking for experienced and highly motivated Team Leaders to support academic excellence, staff coordination, student development, and effective school administration.

The successful candidates will provide leadership to teaching and administrative teams, support lesson planning and implementation, monitor student performance, strengthen communication with parents, and contribute to continuous improvement in teaching and learning. The position requires strong leadership, organizational, communication, and school administration experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow professional practices consistent with school policies and systems.
• Work effectively with students, student records, teachers, and colleagues.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, parents, staff, and school leaders.
• Ensure timely preparation and implementation of annual plans, weekly plans, and daily lesson plans.
• Organize learning materials and educational resources.
• Support the use of diverse instructional methods and activities to enhance student learning.
• Maintain effective home-school communication through telephone calls, meetings, communication books, and other appropriate mechanisms.
• Regularly assess and monitor student performance and progress.
• Monitor student interactions and promote cooperation, teamwork, and sharing.
• Work continuously to improve student learning outcomes and overall school academic excellence.
• Mentor and support teaching and other staff members.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Managing Director.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates should have:

• BA/BSc/B.Ed. degree or BA/MA in Educational Planning and Management, School Leadership, Educational Administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including:
  • 5 years of teaching or lower-level administration experience; and
  • 5 years of middle-level administration experience in a private school.
• For female applicants, proven experience leading private kindergartens is preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development and learning.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in education and school management.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with educational platforms such as E-Learn.
• Knowledge of educational planning and management, school leadership, or educational administration.
• Strong attention to detail and flexibility.
• High professional and ethical standards.
• Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to introduce positive changes and challenge ineffective practices.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Amharic and English.

Salary & Benefits

💰 Salary: 35,000–40,000 ETB + other benefits
