Job Description
The General Manager will provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the Association. The role requires strong managerial experience, sector knowledge, and the ability to lead institutional development and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement organizational strategies and operational plans.
- Provide overall direction and supervision of all departments.
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations and ensure effective service delivery.
- Monitor performance and ensure alignment with the Association’s objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the Association in meetings, partnerships, and sector forums.
- Strengthen collaboration with government bodies, private sector actors, and development partners.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Supervise budgeting, reporting, and resource mobilization activities.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulations.
Educational Qualification
BA, MA, or MSc Degree in Management, Business Management, Economics, Animal Science, Food Technology, Quality & Productivity Management, or related fields.
- Work Experience
- Minimum 8 years (for MA/MSc) or 10 years (for BA).
- Must have proven leadership experience.
- Experience in associations or similar institutions is highly encouraged.
