Job Description

The Addis Center for Ethics and Priority Setting (ACEPS) seeks a Program Coordinator to support the Fair Choices on the Path to UHC 2026–2030 Project. The role involves coordinating policy analysis and evidence-informed priority setting activities, managing partnerships, and supporting evidence-based health policy decision-making with government, academic, and development partners in Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination & Project Management

  • Coordinate implementation of activities under the Policy Analysis and EIPS workstream.
  • Support project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project outputs and milestones.
  • Prepare technical and administrative reports, work plans, and progress updates.

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Coordination

  • Facilitate collaboration among ACEPS, Addis Ababa University, the Ministry of Health, and development partners.
  • Organize stakeholder consultations and engagement processes.
  • Support inclusive deliberative discussions and policy dialogue initiatives.

Capacity Building & Academic Support

  • Coordinate recruitment of PhD candidates.
  • Organize trainings, workshops, mentorship programs, and academic support activities.
  • Support capacity development initiatives for Master's and PhD students.
  • Organize short courses on economic evaluation and priority setting.

Health Policy & Evidence Generation

  • Support Health Technology Assessment (HTA) institutionalization activities.
  • Assist in finalizing the national HTA roadmap.
  • Coordinate development and dissemination of policy briefs, technical reports, and position papers.
  • Promote evidence-informed policymaking and priority-setting processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Option 1

  • PhD in Public Health, Health Policy, Health Economics, Project Management, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.

OR

Option 2

  • Master's Degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Health Economics, Project Management, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Program coordination and project management.
  • Health systems, policy, research, or development programs.
  • Stakeholder engagement and partnership management.
  • Government, university, or development partner collaboration experience is desirable.

Preferred Knowledge

  • Health Policy Analysis.
  • Health Technology Assessment (HTA).
  • Economic Evaluation.
  • Evidence-Informed Priority Setting (EIPS).
