Job Description
Job SummaryTemer Properties is seeking a qualified Project Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across construction projects. The role is responsible for implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor HSE activities across construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify workplace hazards.
- Promote safe work practices and emergency preparedness.
- Monitor compliance with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 requirements.
- Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Provide HSE guidance and awareness to project teams.
- Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related engineering field.
Certification
- NEBOSH IGC 1 & IGC 2 Certification.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience coordinating HSE in large construction projects or the manufacturing sector.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of construction health and safety regulations and standards.
- Familiarity with Ethiopian labour laws, safety directives, and environmental regulations.
- Risk assessment and hazard identification.
- First aid and emergency preparedness.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 requirements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
