Job Description
Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is looking for Project Manager that oversees the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the project in the Afar Regional State. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration with government and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, implementation & monitoring
- Prepare activity schedules, procurement & work plans
- Oversee field activities aligned with donor & project requirements
- Manage & supervise field staff; provide coaching
- Ensure timely reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Manage project budget and ensure proper utilization
- Liaise with regional/woreda government offices
- Conduct field visits & ensure proper documentation
- Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Ensure safeguarding, protection & policy compliance
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in:
Development Studies, Management, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Public Health, etc. - Minimum 5 years of project management experience (NGOs preferred)
- Experience in Afar or similar contexts is an added advantage
- Strong planning, budgeting & leadership skills
- Excellent communication & reporting skills
- Ability to work under pressure & in remote field environments
- Fluency in English & Amharic; Afar language is a plus
- Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
